Injury Update – Trestles Hurley Pro

Here is the wildcard and injury replacement info for the WSL Mens Trestles Hurley Pro 2016 (7th - 18th September)

Trestles Draw

Mick Fanning - IN

Mick will be rejoining the 'CT in California to defend his 2015 Hurley Pro title, and solidify his seeding for 2017. Something tells us that MF is having fun dipping in and out of the tour this year, and it shows in his surfing. He is relaxed, sharp, and can probably make the quarters blindfolded.

Tanner Gudauskas - IN

Winner of the local pros event, defeating brother Pat along the way. Both G bros are having solid 'QS campaigns this year, with Pat placed slightly higher at 10th over Tanners 18th. Tanner got the nod for the Hurley Pro this time, and is sure to represent his local with typical Gudauskas gusto.

Brett Simpson - IN

Trials winner, former WCT journeyman, and a great wildcard entry for Trestles 2016. When Simpo is on, he is as dangerous as buggery. With qualification pressures off his mind he may just find some magic in his bag of tricks.

Reports of John John Florence's knee injury (during his epic finals day shoot-out with Kelly Slater last month) have recently been downgraded. “My knee feels great,” John told Stab. “It was just a little tweak in Tahiti and it’s all good now. Now I’m getting ready for Lowers, can’t wait.”

Giddy Up.

Recent reports are coming out that JJF may actually be carrying a more serious injury than previously thought. Read the update here.
